Simon Fields with a 50 pound Tarpon..and some interesting neckwear!
Father and son dou Simon and Christopher were out today slamming our Tarpon fishery this week. Well, Simon Fields added another nice species at the very end of his fishing week....a Tarpon of about 50 pounds. Our head guide spotted some Tarpon while on his day off doing some recon work and reported to the others who were quick to move to that spot the next day with Simon and his son.
As you can see, Simon is all smiles after landing this one on the beach for a quick photo opportunity. The memories with his son will last a lifetime! These fish are feeding on sardines in this area and are likely to be around at least until the next moon phase, so if you are coming, be sure to let us know you want to check out the Tarpon flats. Simon's son wanted to grab a hold of the Atlanticus Megalops for a photo also.
Simon's son will have a great story to tell back in the U.K.
